Multisensory integration in fetuses

Previous studies have shown that newborns already possess multisensory perception abilities.

However, it is not yet known when this ability first appears in the course of development. ​

To find out, we measure the magnetic brain activity of foetuses while they are exposed to external stimuli (sound and light stimuli) – both unisensory and multisensory.
